SPRING Singapore - Innovation Voucher Scheme (IVS)

To encourage many more SMEs to adopt technology and innovation to create new growth opportunities, Spring Singapore is launching its pilot Innovation Voucher Scheme to encourage SMEs to tap on the extensive engineering and resource base of the Centres of Innovation (COI) for assistance with their technology innovation projects.

PE COI (Precision Engineering Centre of Innovation) has been awarded by SPRING Singapore as Approval In Principle service provider under the Innovation Voucher Scheme (IVS) to provide knowledge services to SMEs.

SMEs can apply for the innovation vouchers worth $5,000 each and redeem them at PE COI for technology related or consultancy services. These services include technology feasibility studies, innovation support services and consultancy services.

Technical Support Services

- PE consultancy (e.g. shop floor trouble shooting of issues such as machining, metal forming, injection moulding, machine mechatronics)

- Diagnostic services (e.g. measurement of surface dimension and roughness, hardness, residue stress, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spectrometry (EDS), high performance liquid chromatometry, Raman spectrometry, FTIR, mechanical tests, X-ray, wear testing)

- Shop floor, manufacturing operations productivity improvement planning and assessment, such as lean manufacturing value stream mapping

- Computer aided engineering (CAE) modelling and simulation (e.g. Moldflow, Deform, Magma, Ansys multiphysics, Abaqus, SolidEdge, SolidWorks, computer aided analysis such as machine structures, thermal, fluidic flow, electro-magnetic, manufacturing work flow, etc.)

- Demand forecasting (e.g. using Excel) for better B2B interaction
