Activities
- Creation of a centre with capabilities in annealing, normalizing, tempering and low pressure carburizing and gas quenching
- Company upgrading and investment analysis for heat treating companies or companies planning to set up heat treatment in-house
- A consortium targeting primarily stepped quenching methodology in order to develop and demonstrate the benefits of emission free gas quenching for optimum microstructure and distortion control for through hardening and carburizing processes
- Training of technicians and engineers

- Visiting international expert to support the start-up and train staff initially
- Furnace set-up for low pressure carburizing; Normalizing; Tempering; Annealing; Homogenizing; Ageing; Brazing, with and gas quenching capability
- Laser hardening for localized heat treatment
- Software for tempering and hardening
